½cupto 1 cup strong coffee OR 1 to 2 shots of espresso
¾cupmilk of your choice
2tablespoonspumpkin spice syrup
¼cupheavy cream or half and half
1tablespoonpumpkin spice syrup
Whipped Creamif desired
Instructions
Make the Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Add all ingredients to a pan and simmer on medium heat for about 5 minutes, until it thickens and becomes syrup-y.
Strain the syrup into a glass container. Push through a mesh strainer. (Straining is not required but it does provide a smoother syrup). Let the syrup cool before putting the lid on. Once cool, add the lid and tighten it and store it in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Make a Pumpkin Spice Latte
Pour coffee into a mug. The amount depends on your personal preference.
Heat your milk in the microwave for 45 seconds or on the stove until hot but not boiling. In a cup or milk frother, add the milk and pumpkin spice syrup. Froth to your desired consistency. Pour over coffee and stir.
In a cup or milk frother, add heavy cream (or half and half) and 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin spice syrup and frother to a thick consistency. Pour the cold foam over your coffee and ENJOY! Add whipped cream if desired!
