    Instructions

The instructions for this recipe could not be any easier! Simply mix, chill, and roll! That's it!

All of the ingredients for no bake energy bites in a wooden bowl.
    1. Step 1: Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Rolling no bake energy bites into balls.
    1. Step 2: Chill well and then roll into balls. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Hint: Use a cookie scoop to get even-sized balls.

Make these No Bake Energy Bites Even Healthier

Making energy bites even healthier is super easy! Here are a few simple ideas you can try:

Use whole grains: Stick with old-fashioned rolled oats instead of quick oats for more fiber and better texture.

Use natural nut butters: Go for peanut, almond, or cashew butter that has no added sugar or oils.

Add seeds: Toss in extra chia seeds, hemp hearts, or ground flaxseeds for a boost of fiber, protein, and omega-3s.

Swap sweeteners: Replace honey or maple syrup with a smaller amount or use mashed bananas or dates for natural sweetness.

Choose dark chocolate: Use mini dark chocolate chips (70% cacao or higher) instead of regular milk chocolate for less sugar and more antioxidants.

Mix in protein powder: A scoop of your favorite protein powder can turn them into an even better post-workout snack.

Sneak in veggies: Add finely shredded carrots or zucchini — they blend right in and add moisture without changing the taste much.

    Variations

You’re gonna love these variations on my base no-bake energy bites! Here are some fun flavor twists:

    • Almond Joy: Swap peanut butter for almond butter, use coconut flakes, and mini chocolate chips.
    • Trail Mix: Toss in chopped nuts, dried cranberries, raisins, and sunflower seeds.
    • Pumpkin Spice: Add a spoonful of pumpkin purée and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
    • Mocha Madness: Mix in a little instant coffee or espresso powder with the oats and chocolate chips.
    • Berry Bliss: Use dried blueberries or strawberries and white chocolate chips.
    • Cinnamon Roll: Add cinnamon, a drizzle of honey, and a few chopped pecans or walnuts.
    • Cookies and Cream: Stir in crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (okay, maybe not healthy, but definitely fun).

    Equipment

You need only a bowl, a spoon, measuring cups, and a cookie scoop to make these energy balls.

You can use any size cookie scoop for these, but I like a two-tablespoon scoop like the middle one in this Set of Three Scoops. All three sizes allow you to choose the size that suits your needs.

    Storage

Store these No Bake Energy Bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. If they last that long!

These energy bites stand up well to freezing for up to 1 month if wrapped well.

    Top Tip

The top tip for making no-bake energy bites is: chill the mixture before rolling it into balls!

✨ After you mix everything, pop the bowl in the fridge for about 20–30 minutes.
This firms up the dough, making it easier to shape without sticking to your hands — plus it helps the bites hold together better once they’re rolled.
